The original Eames Lounger Chair and Stool is still manufactured in USA under licence by the Herman Miller company at prices from $3010 (plus carriage to UK)! This reproduction Eames Chair and Footstool would normally retail from at least £849 to £940 in UK.

This is a quality reproduction based on the design classic first introduced by Charles and Ray Eames in the 1950’s. The design has been consistently popular ever since because, unlike many other style icons, it combines excellence in design and appearance with supreme comfort!

This Eames style chair is constructed from three moulded contoured plywood shells which are finished in a medium to dark walnut veneer. The padded, eurethane foam seat, backrest and arms are finished in black ltalian leather attached ingeniously and invisibly to their bases. As in the original, the chair is inclined at a permanent angle of 15% so that the occupant sinks sumptuously into the back and arms.
The Ottoman (footstool) is manufactured in an entirely identical manner.
Both items are attached to five-legged, black cast swivel aluminium bases with polished aluminium trim to their upper surfaces. (Please note, the original Eames design featured only a four-legged base to the footstool. In this model the base of the footstool is identical to that of the chair with five legs. This is the only departure from the original design).

Finished in classic black leather, and now available in Vintage brown leather (for that distressed, lived-in look) - please see picture no 3.
